Head of KDP-FRO Mr. Hoshyar Siwaily hosts Mr. Simakov in Pirmam office

Mr. Siwaily thanked Mr. Simakov for his visit and expressed his condolences to the victims of the recent terror attack in St. Petersburg, emphasizing the scale of the threat that terror are imposing of the free world and the importance of challenging it together. He also thanked the Russian Federation Consul General for the support that his country has provided during the fight against ISIS.

Head of KDP-FRO explained that his party is adamant that they will hold referendum later this year and the technical aspects of the process was explained to Mr. Simakov. Life post ISIS in particular the political and security situation in Mosul was another subject of the meeting. During the discussion the relations between KRG and the Federal Government was highlighted.

Finally both sides stressed the importance of strengthening relations and bonds to further benefit the mutual interests of both sides.
