Liberal International Finalizes its Congress in Andorra

On the final day of the Liberal International Congress, the Kurdistan Democratic Party Foreign Relations delegation met with heads of Liberal Movements across the globe. They included: vice-presidents Abir Al-Sahlani, Karl- Heinz Paque and Robert Woodthorpe Browne. The delegation also met separately with Lord John Alderdice, President of Honour; Mr. Stevens Mokgalapa, MP President of South Africa Liberal Network; and Hans Van Baalen, President of Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe Party. Mr. Siwaily and the delegation explained the need for the international community to understand the desire of the Kurdistan Region to exercise their democratic right to carry out a referendum later in the year. The delegation also asked for support and participation as the role of observers throughout the process.
