Kuwait value the sacrifices of Peshmerga and the people of Kurdistan.

Wednesday, 7th June, Kuwait Consul General, Dr. Omar Kondari, accompanied by Mr. Sa'ad Msha'al visit the Kurdistan Democratic Party-Foreign Relations Office in Pirmam-Erbil. They were received by Mr. Hoshyar Siwaily, head of KDP-FRO, with other office members. Dr. Kondari congratulated Mr. Siwaily on his new appointment as head of office. Mr. Siwaily accepted his well wishes and also, congratulated him and the Muslim world on the return of month of Ramadan.

The Consulate General of Kuwait value the sacrifices of the Peshmerga and the people of Kurdistan in their fight against the terrorist group of ISIS. Also, explicated the historic ties between the Kurdish and Kuwaiti nations, which dates back to the days of struggle for freedom in the last century.

The political situation and the current internal issues of the Kurdistan Region were subjects of the meeting. Mr. Siwaily shed light on the process of the referendum and the recent visits by KRG Prime minister to Russia and the chancellor of the Kurdistan Regional Security Council visit to USA and Baghdad were other topics of the visit.

Finally, both sides discussed means of strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations.
