KDP Foreign Relations Office Delegation Attends Ceremony Honouring President Nechirvan Barzani with the Order of the Star of Italy

A delegation from the Kurdistan Democratic Party’s Foreign Relations Office attended the official ceremony during which the insignia and diploma of the Order of the Star of Italy were presented to H.E. President Nechirvan Barzani, in recognition of his constructive and distinguished role in promoting, developing, and strengthening the longstanding relations between the Republic of Italy and the Kurdistan Region.

H.E. Ambassador Niccolò Fontana, Ambassador of Italy to the Republic of Iraq, conferred the insignia and diploma upon President Barzani on behalf of the President of the Republic of Italy.

During the ceremony, both the Italian Ambassador and the Consul General of Italy praised President Barzani’s outstanding leadership, statesmanship, and continued commitment to dialogue, stability, and cooperation. They highlighted his significant contributions, both during his tenure as Prime Minister and in his current capacity as President of the Kurdistan Region, to advancing bilateral relations and deepening friendship and partnership between Italy, Iraq, and the Kurdistan Region.
