The Head of KDP-FRO Mr. Hoshyar Siwaily hosted Ms. Zeynab Aliyeva, Head of Political Section in the Canadian Embassy in Kuwait.

Mr. Siwaily set out the determination of Kurdistan Democratic Party leadership and particularly H.E. President Barzani to hold referendum on schedule, he also explained the insolent attitude of the Iraqi central government  towards Kurdistan Region had veared the direction of political path and strengthened our demands to seek independence through a democratic process. Mr. Siwaily explained the will of the majority in the parliament to reconvene as soon as possible in these critical times to act as legitimate lawmakers to lead the referendum in the region. Ms. Aliyeva was pleased with the intention and urged the sides to put the benefits of their people ahead of party politicians and put differences aside and work together to further serve the people of Kurdistan.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed the desire to keep working hard to strengthen relations with the two nations.
