Deputy Consulate General of UK, Mr. Sharp expressed the need for Kurdish officials to engage is serious dialogue with Baghdad and peaceful solutions.

Mr. Siwaily welcomed the Deputy Consul General and expressed his disappointment with British government and the international community in failing to recognize the results of Referendum on Independence and the legitimate aspiration of the Kurdish nation.

Mr. Sharp expressed the need for Kurdish officials to engage is serious dialogue with Baghdad and peaceful solutions.

Mr. Siwaily expressed our commitment to serious dialogue with Baghdad since 2005 but with little progress. He continued to reiterate our commitment to peace and democracy but highlighted the recent harsh actions by the government of Baghdad to isolate Kurdistan region.
