The Prime Minister of Kurdistan Region, Mr. Nichirvan Barzani, met with His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan.

During the meeting, His Majesty expressed satisfaction in the relations between Arbil and Amman. He also expressed his country's readiness to strengthen its relations with the Kurdistan Region at all levels. His Majesty also appreciated the position of the Kurdistan Regional Government in hosting large numbers of displaced persons and refugees.

The King also expressed his support of the Jordanian Kingdom for the dialogue between Erbil and Baghdad in order to solve the outstanding problems between Erbil and Baghdad under the Iraqi Constitution, considering that turning this into practical steps is necessary, and His Majesty assured the Prime Minister that the Kurdistan Region has many friends, stressing that the Kurdistan Region must Continues its attempts to clarify its positions to the international community.

In addition to expressing his satisfaction with the meeting, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region expressed his gratitude to His Majesty the King of Jordan for the continuous support of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the Kurdistan Region in various stages. He hoped that this support and cooperation will continue. He also stressed the good relations between Arbil and Amman. .

After that, he gave an overview of the political and humanitarian conditions witnessed in the region and his recent meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar Abadi and the meetings of the Erbil and Baghdad teams, describing it as a good start for launching the dialogue between the two sides.
