Christopher Cambadelis, the Head of International Relations Department of the France Socialist Party Receives Hemen Hawrami, the Head of KDP Foreign Relations Office
Hemen Hawrami, the Head of KDP Foreign Relations Office met in Paris with Jean Christopher Cambadelis, the Head of International Relations Department of the France Socialist Party (PS) in Paris.
In the meeting, Hemen Hawrami, congratulated the France Socialist party for the victory it achieved in the latest France legislative elections and previously the election of its leader, Francois Hollande, as the President of France.
The meeting also highlighted the history of bilateral relations between the two parties, emphasized the positive historical role played by the France Socialist Party in supporting the Kurdish national struggle, and in particular, the positive role and policies undertaken by the former President of France, the late Francois Mitterrand and the late Danielle Mitterrand.
Discussing the forms of improving bilateral relations between the two parties was the subject of another part of the meeting. In this part of the meeting, ideas were exchanged on the feasibility of closer KDP- PS parliamentary co-operation in the respective parliaments of Kurdistan and France, possibility of benefiting from the vast experiences of the France Socialist Party in the areas of election campaign and modern forms of party politics as well as inviting a high-ranking PS delegation to the Kurdistan Region as an honored guest of KDP.
From its part, Jean Christopher Cambadelis expressed his appreciation for the meeting and willingness to co-operate fully on KDP proposals for improvement of bilateral relations between KDP- PS. Subsequently, Mr. Cambadelis officially invited KDP to participate in the upcoming convention of France Socialist Party which is due to be held on 26th October 2012 in the city of Toulouse in south of France.
