Nechirvan Barzani and Zarif emphasize the strengthening of the relations of the Kurdistan Region and Iran

On the sidelines of the third day of the Munich Security Conference, Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani met with the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, the two sides expressed their satisfaction with the meeting and discussed the historical and friendly relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Islamic Republic of Iran and means of enhancing them in all fields.

 

In another part of the meeting was the visit of the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region to Tehran and the results, the current circumstances and the dialogue between Erbil and Baghdad, and was stressed on the development of solutions to the outstanding problems between Erbil and Baghdad within the framework of the Iraqi constitution.

 

The discussion of the political situation on the Iraqi arena and in the Kurdistan region, the upcoming Iraqi elections and the situation of the region in general, was another round of the meeting attended by Dr. Fuad Hussein, Head of the Office of the Presidency of the Kurdistan Region, Falah Mustafa, head of the Department of Foreign Relations and Dilshad Barzani representative of the Kurdistan Regional Government in Germany.
