President Barzani and Russia's Ambassador to Iraq Meet

President Masoud Barzani received a diplomatic delegation from the Russian embassy in Iraq headed by Maksim Maksimov, Russia's ambassador to Iraq. During the meeting, President Barzani and ambassador Maksimov spoke on a number of issues that Iraq and the Kurdistan Region are facing. The two sides also made reference to the historic relations between Russia and Kurdistan and how those relations remain part of the Kurdish memory. 

 

President Barzani also expressed his appreciation to the Russian Federation for its continuous support to the Kurdistan Region, especially during the recent challenging times.
