President Masoud Barzani, on the occasion of the twenty second anniversary of the launching of the Revolution of Gullan, stressed that the will of the People of Kurdistan is stronger than any other time.

In the Name of Allah the Merciful On the occasion of the forty-second anniversary of the launching of the progressive Revolution of Gullan, I congratulate the People of Kurdistan, the heroic Peshmerga, and all the patriots who endured the bitterness and hardship of asylum. The Revolution of Gullan was a message of rejection of surrender of the People of Kurdistan. It was a resurgence of the liberation revolution against tyranny, subjugation and dictatorship as well as the international conspiracy that targeted the Kurdish Revolution. It was an extension of our previous revolutions and an important stage in the history of our People. The Revolution of Gullan carried the message and objectives of the great September Revolution, and it is considered an important stage in the struggle of the Peshmerga and the People of Kurdistan. It proved that even if the struggle of the People of Kurdistan had stopped and faced a setback at some stages, the will to fight and the struggle of the People of Kurdistan have never broken and the struggle would continue with new determination and enthusiasm to achieve freedom. The Freedoms and gains achieved today are a result of blood and sacrifices of our People in the Revolution of Gullan and other Revolutions of our People. On this blessed occasion, we salute the spirit of the first martyr of the Revolution of Gullan, the Martyr Sayyad Abdullah Haji Homarani and all the martyrs of the Kurds and Kurdistan. We also salute the steadfastness of the brave Peshmerga who with their blood and sacrifices achieved freedom for our People. On this occasion, we once again re-emphasise, despite the conspiracies and more than any other time, the strength and the strength and vigour of the will of the People of Kurdistan and determination to struggle, until the realisation of our legitimate rights and continue to raise the message of peace and coexistence and progress.
