The Head of Trade and Economic Section of the Republic of Bulgaria in Erbil, Mr Dimitar Ougrinov paid a Farewell visit to the KDP-FRO in Pirmam.

The Head of Trade and Economic Section of the Republic of Bulgaria in Erbil, Mr Dimitar Ougrinov, visited KDP-FRO in Pirmam on July 19. He was received by Hoshyar Siwaily and a number of members of the Office. Mr Ougrinov who has been representing Bulgaria since 2015 is leaving Kurdistan Region.

The foundation of the relations between Bulgaria and Kurdistan Region was laid when President Barzani visited Sofia in 2012 and the deputy PM of Bulgaria visited Erbil the same Year. President Barzani paid a second visit in 2017.

Mr Ougrinov has been instrumental in strengthening relations between Bulgaria and Kurdistan Region since the opening of the Section in Erbil. We thanked him for his engaging role over the past years and wished him success in his future post. We at the same time stressed the importance of further developing political, social, cultural as well as economic relations between the two sides.
