President Barzani’s Message on the anniversary of the Yazidis Genocide

On the anniversary of the Shangal calamity, we salute the immaculate souls of the Martyrs of the Tragedy. All the People of Kurdistan shared the sufferings of their Yazidi Sisters and brothers during this ordeal. For this reason our sons and daughters from all over Kurdistan came and sacrificed their lives to liberate Shangal.

The Yazidi sisters and brothers are inseparable part of the People of Kurdistan and under no imposed circumstance they will be separated from their people.

The Kurdistan Regional Government has made every effort to locate and rescue those who were abducted and large numbers of them have brought home. Locating, rescuing the remaining abductees, normalising the situation in Shangal and its reconstruction are common, multilateral and prioritised tasks of toady and need to be accelerated.
