President Barzani receives a delegation representing the Iraqi National Axis Alliance in Salahadeen

A delegation representing the Iraqi National Axis Alliance headed by Sheikh Khamis al-Khanjar visited Salahadeen on 19 August 2018 and was received by President Masoud Barzani and a number of members of the KDP Political Bureau.

During the meeting, the views and opinions of the two sides to the political process and the formation of the new government in Iraq were identical. A continuous coordination and communication between the two sides were emphasized in order to actively participate in the political process and to observe and implement the principles that serve the partnership of all components in the future Iraqi government.

At the meeting, views and opinions were exchanged on the political process and the formation of the new government in Iraq, drawing on past experience and mistakes.

The two sides also agreed on the need to ensure having clear guarantees and mechanisms in place that set out the commitment of all the parties to the Constitution and the implementation of the agreements, in a way that would block unilateral decision making in the country's administration and the marginalization of the components of the Iraqi Society.

Also at the meeting, emphasis was given to continuous coordination and communication between the two sides, in order to actively participate in the political process and to take into account and implement the principles that serve the partnership of all components
