Prime Minister Barzani holds telephone talks with US Secretary of State Pompeo

Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani received a telephone call from US Secretary of State, Michael Pompeo.

They discussed the latest political developments, joint Peshmerga-Iraqi army operations against ISIS as well as the steps towards the formation of the new Iraqi government.

They stressed the need to meet the demands of the Iraqi people towards improving their conditions of life as recently expressed in public demonstrations.

Assisting and protecting the victims and survivors of ISIS war, particularly the Yezidis and Christians, were also discussed in the telephone call.
