President Barzani’s statement on the (Koya) attack

President Barzani’s statement on the (Koya) attack I am extremely concerned and deeply saddened by the rocket attack and bombardment of the headquarters of Kurdistan Democratic Party-Iran, in Koya, by the Islamic Republic of Iran in particular when this attack led to the lose of many lives and material destruction. While I am condemning this attack, I express my condolences to the families and relatives of the martyrs and wish the wounded a speedy recovery. ‏I urge all the sides to refrain from making Kurdistan a ground for their confrontations because Kurdistan Region itself faces many challenges, threats and problems. I deem it necessary to inform all the sides that the Kurdish issue can't be solved by violence, killings and bombardment. Peaceful methods are the best way to solve the issues. ‏Masoud Barzani ‏8th September 2018
