Prime Minister Barzani receives Ambassador of Spain

Ambassador Stemmann commended the Kurdistan Regional Government for hosting an extraordinary number of displaced people fleeing terrorism.

He stressed enhancing bilateral cooperation, particularly in scientific and economic fields.

Prime Minister Barzani said the Kurdistan Regional Government looks forward to developing relations with Spain, especially in building strong economic ties.

The political situation in Iraq, formation of the new Iraqi government, political dialogue between Iraqi political parties, role of Kurdistans’ political parties in the formation of the Iraqi government, and the Kurdistan Region’s effective participation in national governance were also discussed.
