Prime Minister Barzani congratulates the new Speaker of Iraqi Council of Representatives

To the Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Mr. Mohamed al-Halbusi

I extend my congratulations to you on the occasion of your election as the Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives and wish you success in your duties.

We hope that, in its new term, the newly elected Council of Representatives could help to overcome the challenges which face the country and play its role in strengthening trust-building process, genuine partnership, consensus and balance among all the components, within the framework of full commitment to the Iraqi Constitution, in order to attain justice, establish the foundations of democracy and pluralism, achieve political stability and security in Iraq and improve living conditions of all its communities.

We look forward with great optimism to your role and wish you success in your duties.
