Mr. David, the Acting Consul General thanked KDP-FRO for their continuous support and assistance to his country’s consulate in Kurdistan Region, and repeated his country's support for the Kurdistan Region on the humanitarian and military aspects as they are part of the International Coalition in the war against terrorism. The head of KDP-FRO warmly welcomed LT Col Tamas as the new military liaison officer and wished him success and expressed his appreciation to the departing LT Col Kibor for his service in Kurdistan Region and wished him very best in his the future appointment.
During the meeting Mr. Siwaily explained the latest developments in the political arena of Kurdistan, Iraq and the region. Furthermore, the formation of Iraqi government was another part of the meeting and Mr. Siwaily emphasized three important principles of partnership, consensus and balance that need to be the foundation for the new cabinet. The forthcoming Regional election was another to subject of the deliberation of the meeting.
At the end of the meeting, both parties stressed the importance of continuous coordination and expansion of the activities of Hungarian consulate in all fields that serve the interests of both nations.
