President Barzani receives Lord Stephen

President of the Kurdistan region, Massoud Barzani, today received Lord Stephen from the United Kingdom and his accompanying delegation. The accompanying delegates worked with the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and are experts in the field of criminal investigations and scientific research into mass graves.

During the meeting, the nature of Lord Stephen’s work was explained to President Barzani; the ambition for his work included a humanitarian duty to open the mass graves and diagnose the identities of the victims, in a scientific manner. The details of the victims will be provided to international courts to seek, with all their abilities, to define the crimes to the international community and injustices against the people of Kurdistan.

President Barzani mentioned the grievances the people of Kurdistan have suffered. He also praised the work of Lord Stephen and his delegation, and expressed his full cooperation with them.
