KDP- FR ERBIL 12/11/2012
Claire Moo Martins, an official of the political section from the European Union in Iraq, visited the Foreign Relations Office of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. He met with Head of Foreign Relations for KDP, Hemin Hawrami, and a number of other FR office members.
Mr Martins mentioned that the European Union praises the policy of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and would like to know the relationship statuses between the KDP, the Central Government and disputed territories, and the situation in Syria.
Mr Hawrami stated Iraq is going through a deep crisis due to a lack of confidence and the negligence of the constitution. The Iraqi Prime Minister has shown a lack of commitment to the Convention of Erbil and an autocracy rule.
Regarding the situation in Syria, Mr Hawrami highlighted the policy and direction of the KDP’s support liabilities is fair for the Kurds, wherever they are in dialogue and away from weapons and violence. He also pointed to the positions of President Barzani are to cooperate with and unite the opposition and support for refugees
