President Masoud Barzani received in Salahadeen on Sunday 14/10/2018, Mr. Ammar al-Hakim and a high-level delegation from the Reform Alliance.

During the meeting, the guest delegation praised the role and position of President Barzani and the Kurdistan Democratic Party in the past, at present and the continuation of this role in the future of Kurdistan and Iraq, stressing the need for Iraq to open a new page of friendly relations between the Region and Baghdad, and the need to address the outstanding problems between the two sides.

The guest delegation also reiterated its support for the three principles that President Barzani considers to be the basis for relations between the Region and Baghdad, namely, consensus, genuine partnership and balance.

For his part, after welcoming the guest delegation, President Barzani highlighted the relations between Kurdistan Region and Baghdad, emphasizing that the People of Kurdistan have a just cause, and that abusing the Region’s rights in the past needs to be addressed.
