President of Kurdistan region receives the French Ambassador and a delegation of French companies

President of Kurdistan, Massoud Barzani, receives the French Ambassador to Iraq, Donny Coeur, and a delegation of French companies.

President Barzani welcomed the French Ambassador, Donny Coeur, and a delegation of French companies. The President stressed that the people and the French government have a special respect amongst the people of Kurdistan, and that the French Government has always been a good friend to the people of Kurdistan. President Barzani expressed Kurdish people are confident that French companies can do their part to rebuild Kurdistan.

In the meeting, which was also attended by the representative of the Kurdistan Regional Government in France, the French Ambassador explained; the reasons for the visit to Kurdistan and the purpose of the visit, was to strengthen ties with KRG and businessmen in the region, and find out the requirements of Kurdistan that is related to the French companies and to work on those projects.

The French Ambassador spoke highly of the developments and current development in Kurdistan and stated that France is a friend of Kurdistan and showed consideration for the historical distress of the Kurdish people. He also noted that France wishes these companies contribute to the reconstruction of Kurdistan.
