President Masoud Barzani welcomes the Patriarch of Chaldean Church in Iraq and the world

On Sunday, December 12, 2021, President Masoud Barzani welcomed Cardinal Louis Sako, Patriarch of the Chaldean Church in Iraq and the world.

 

The meeting, attended by Matran Bashar Warda, exchanged views on the political situation and the latest developments in Iraq, and the chaldean church patriarch called for President Barzani to play his role in bringing the Iraqi side closer and achieving stability in Iraq.

 

At the same meeting, the situation of Christians in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region was discussed and emphasis was placed on deepening the reconciliation and brotherhood between the parties.
