Chancellor Masrour Barzani receives Iraqi Speaker of Council of Representatives

Masrour Barzani Chancellor of Kuedistan Region Security Council received a delegation led by Speaker of the Council of Representatives Mohamed Halbousi. 

During the meeting the two discussed a range of issues aimed at addressing unresolved questions between Kurdistan Region and Iraq, in particular differences over the budget. In the meeting, Chancellor Barzani urged Speaker Halbousi to coordinate with all factions and Iraq’s new government to ensure Kurdistan Region receives a fair share.

both side emphazize on the importance of permanent agreements on all outsdanding issues, including Article 140 of the Constitution, will position KRG and the Federal Government to focus on good governance and prosperity. They also discussed security cooperation and humanitarian needs of the displaced families.
