President Barzani Receives an Iranian Government Delegation

President Masoud Barzani received an Iranian government delegation headed by Mr. Mohammad Javad Zarif, Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs. President Barzani and Minister Zarif discussed the latest political developments in Iraq, Mr. Zarif was pleased with the enhancing relations between Erbil and Baghdad and stated that those relations are for the collective benefit of all sides.

The President and Minister Zarif also spoke of the bilateral relations between the Kurdistan Region and Iran and they discussed avenues to further enhance such relations.

The two sides also made reference to the importance of supporting the new Iraqi government headed by Adil Abdulmahdi as the success of that government will be in the interest of all parties involved.
