Kurdistan President receives Secretary-General of the Iraqi Islamic Party

President of the Kurdistan Region Massoud Barzani, in Salahuddin receives Mr Iyad Samarrai, Secretary-General of the Iraqi Islamic Party and his accompanying delegation.

 

At the meeting, they discussed the current political situation in Iraq, the problems facing the political process and unresolved issues between the region and Baghdad.

Mr Barzani emphasized that all sides should work to find a solution for the problems in Iraq, which is having an affect on Kurdistan.

The Secretary-General of the Iraqi Islamic Party, stressed the importance of cooperation between all parties and abiding by the constitution and agreements to resolve problems
