President Barzani Receives a Jordanian Government Delegation

President Masoud Barzani received a delegation the government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan today. The delegated was headed by Dr. Tariq al-Hammouri, the Minister of Industry and Trade and it included Jordan's ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Montaser Oklah Alzou'bi and a number of other officials. The meeting started with Dr. al-Hammouri conveying the greeting of His Majesty King Abdullah to President Barzani. 

 

The two sides spoke of the historic relations between the Kurdistan Region and Jordan. President Barzani made reference to the great stances towards the Kurdish people from the late His Majesty King Hussein. It was from those heroic stances, the President added that the current excellent relations between the two sides were inherited.

 

The meeting also included discussions of enhancing the bilateral relations between Jordan and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq especially in terms of trade and industry.
