President Masoud Barzani, congratulated Assyrians, Chaldean and Syriac Christians on their New Year’s Eve, known as Akitu

President Barzani , stressing the need to promote a culture of co-existence, peace and brotherhood among all the components of Kurdistan. He also reassured the Christian brothers and sisters that Kurdistan is their homeland and ancestral homeland.

In the name of Allah the Merciful

On the occasion of the Assyrians, Chaldean and Syriac Christians on their New Year’s Eve, I extend my warmest congratulations to the Assyrians, Chaldean and Syriac in Kurdistan and Iraq, and wish them happiness.

On this occasion, we emphasize the need to strengthen the culture of coexistence, peace and brotherhood among all components of Kurdistan. We also assure the Christian sisters and brothers that Kurdistan is their homeland and the homeland of their ancestors, and we should not contribute to it.

We hope that the displaced and will return to their homes in Nineveh and other areas as soon as possible, and we hope that the new year will be full of good and prosperity, and that all the holidays will be held safely.
