Masrour Barzani receives Chairman of the International Islamic Charitable Organization
Chancellor Masrour Barzani today had a productive meeting with Chairman of the International Islamic Charitable Organization Dr. Abdullah Matouq.
In their meeting attended by the Kuwaiti Consul General in Erbil Omar Al-Kanderi, both sides discussed immediate needs of the displaced community in Iraq and Syria, with a particular emphasis on those in the Kurdistan Region. They both praised the important cooperation with local authorities and Barzani Charity Foundation.
Chancellor Barzani and Chairman Matouq also had an exchange on the situation in Mosul and the urgency needed to increase international aid, strengthen reconstruction efforts and restore basic services.
They agreed to remain in close contact on these issues.
The passing of Mustafa Barzani, and the grandeur of his struggle, remain for us an enduring call to continue our efforts until we attain all the rights of our people and our country
