Chancellor Masrour Barzani received Diplomatic and military delagation from United States

Chancellor of Kurdistan Region Security Council Masrour Barzani received a diplomatic and military delegation from the US on Thursday to review the latest developments in the region.

The US delegation was led by Acting Assistant Secretary David Satterfield, according to the readout of the meeting. They had an “in-depth discussion on regional developments and relations between Kurdistan Region, Iraq and the United States of America”.

Barzani, who is nominated to take the office as the new Kurdistan Region Prime Minister, briefed the guests on the improvements in the relations between Erbil and Baghdad. They also discussed the ties between Kurdistan Region and neighboring countries.

“In the meeting attended by Lieutenant General Paul LaCamera of the Global Coalition, Chancellor Barzani and Ambassador Satterfield reviewed with concern increasing ISIS activities in Iraq and Syria,” the readout added.
