Masrour Barzani, Belgian Ambassador Discuss Bilateral Ties

Chancellor of Kurdistan Region Security Council, Masrour Barzani, received on Tuesday the outgoing Belgium Ambassador to Jordan and Iraq, Hendrik Van de Velde, to discuss bilateral ties and the latest developments in the region.

“In the meeting, both discussed regional developments and the importance of a strong partnership between the Kurdistan Region and Belgium,” according to the readout of the meeting.

They also talked about the ongoing efforts to form the new cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG).

Masrour Barzani wished ambassador Van de Velde success in his future posts, and welcomed any initiative to further develop bilateral ties between Erbil and Brussels.

Masrour Barzani is nominated by the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) to lead the next cabinet as the Prime Minister of Kurdistan Region.
