Hemin Hawrami receives Swedish Deputy Ambassador to Iraq

Head of Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) Foreign Relations Office Hemin Hawrami and several office members today met Swedish Deputy Ambassador Louise Calais.

Mr Hawrami lauded the efforts and support of the Swedish government toward the Kurdish people. He then clarified the situation of Iraqi-Kurdistan region, explaining the relationship between themselves and the central government of Iraq as well as views of the KDP on current affairs.

During the meeting, they discussed latest regional developments and the Syrian situation. Mr Hawrami said the events in Syria is having an affect on the Kurdistan-region, while stressing that the KDP is following the situation with importance and accuracy.

Ms Calais thanked the foreign Relations Office for the reception and cooperation.
