Kurdistan President-Elect, Iraqi Counterpart Talk over the Phone

The president-elect of Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, held a phone conversation with Barham Salih, the president of Iraq, on Monday.

Barzani and Barham reviewed the latest political and security developments in the region, and agreed on the necessity of joint efforts for resolving the remaining disputes between Erbil and Baghdad, according to an official press release.

Salih congratulated Barzani on his election as the new president of Kurdistan Region.

Barzani also invited Salih to the swearing-in ceremony set for 10th June where several dozens of leaders and international political leaders are expected to attend.
