New President of Kurdistan, Saudi Minister of State Meet in Erbil

New President of Kurdistan Region Nechirvan Barzani received on Wednesday the Saudi Minister of State for Gulf Affairs Thamer al-Sabhan in capital Erbil.

During the meeting, the pair held talks on the ties between the Kurdistan Region and Saudi Arabia and the ways to further strengthen the relations between the two sides.

Sabhan, who visited the region to attend the inauguration ceremony for the new president of Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, wished success to the Kurdish leader in his new position.

Barzani, in return, thanked the Saudi minister for his visit as well as his attendance at the inauguration ceremony, hailing the historic relations between Erbil and Riyadh.
