Barzani Thanks Germany for Continued Support to Peshmerga
Kurdish prominent leader Masoud Barzani received a German diplomatic delegation headed by Martin Jäger, the State Secretary in the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
During the meeting, Barzani thanked the German government and military for continued support to the Peshmerga forces of Kurdistan Region throughout the war against Islamic State (IS).
Jäger said his country welcomes the progress in the relations between Erbil and Baghdad after a period of political deadlock.
They also reviewed the latest political and security developments in Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and beyond.
