Turkmen Front to Have a Minister in Next KRG Cabinet

The Turkmen Front Party will join the new cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), party leader said on Saturday.

Aidin Marouf told BasNews that his party will have the KRG’s minister of state for minority affairs.

Earlier the day, Marouf received Prime Minister-designate Masrour Barzani and his accompanying delegation for discussions around the new cabinet.

The Turkmen Front Party has not yet finalized a candidate for the post, Marouf said.

Previously, MP Reving Harouri told media that Barzani is committed to conclude government-formation talks before 1st July when the parliament summer recess will begin.

He is likely to submit his cabinet structure to the legislative for a vote by the end of the next week.
