Chancellor of Kurdistan Region Security Council and the Prime Minister-designate, Masrour Barzani, received on Sunday a delegation from the UK All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) in Kurdistan to discuss further fostering ties between Erbil and London.
The parliamentary delegation, led by MP Jack Lopresti, said they were visiting Erbil to prepare the ground and help more British investments in the Kurdistan Region. They were also planning to follow up the situation of the IDPs and refugees sheltered in the Kurdistan Region.
They also congratulated Barzani on his new post as the prime minister of Kurdistan Region, reiterating their support for his future government.
Barzani thanked the APPG for their continued support to the Kurdistan Region and he briefed the guests on the process of forming the new cabinet of the Kurdistan Region.
On refugees and IDPs, Barzani said more international support is needed to meet the needs of the large number of people in refugee camps of Kurdistan Region.
