Head of KDP Foreign Relations receives Head of UNAMI in Kurdistan

Head of Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) Foreign Relations Office Hemin Hawrami receives Head of UNAMI in Kurdistan Mr Sokol Kondi.

In their brief meeting, they discussed the current situations in Iraq and Syria. Mr Kondi made the visit primarily to understand the view of the KDP concerning the situation in Iraq and the developments in Syria.

Mr Hawrami stated, "Iraq is going through a dangerous stage at a critical time." He assessed the United Nations (UN) plays a key role in maintaining and developing peace and stability within the country.

They also discussed the upcoming elections that will be held throughout the country this year. Mr Kondi thanked Mr Hawrami for meeting with him and looks forward to continuing relations.
