President Barzani Meets a French Delegation
Erbil, Kurdistan Region, President Nechirvan Barzani of the Kurdistan Region received French Presidential Envoy for Syria Mr. François Sénémaud and French Consul General in Erbil, Mr. Dominique Mas. They conveyed French President Emmanuel Macron’s congratulations to Mr. Barzani on his election as the President of the Kurdistan Region, and they reiterated France’s support to the Region and hoped for further strengthening bilateral relations between both sides.
President Barzani expressed his appreciation for the continued support that France and President Macron provided to the Kurdistan Region, especially during challenging times. He also stressed on further improving bilateral ties.
Latest developments in Syria and broader region, and the process of new government formation in Kurdistan were among issues discussed in the meeting.
