President Barzani stressed the depth of historical relations between the people of Kurdistan and Kuwait

Kurdistan-region President Massoud Barzani received today a delegation of Kuwaiti journalists in the presence of Kuwait’s Ambassador to Iraq.

President Barzani welcomed their visit and stressed the depth of historical relations between the people of Kurdistan and Kuwait, while announcing a strong desire to strengthen relations between them, adding they both share a special compassion for the suffering of their nations and highlighted the role of the Kuwaiti Ambassador to consolidate relations.

In a speech by the Kuwaiti Ambassador, he said Mr Barzani’s struggle for the legitimate rights of the Kurdish people and his role in consolidating democracy in Iraq has added to his valour experience of bringing unity to the will of the people.
