The Cabinet issues a number of resolutions during its first formal meeting

At the beginning of the meeting, the Prime Minister thanked the people of Kurdistan in general and Peshmerga and the families of the martyrs in particular, because they contributed during the past years to protect the sovereignty of the Kurdistan Region and preserve it and recalled their courageous stand in front of all the difficulties and economic crises that affected the Kurdistan Region and promised All efforts should be made to serve all citizens without discrimination.
During the meeting, following the clarification of the start of the work of ministers of the new ministerial cabinet, ministers were tasked to formulate the work programs of their ministries in light of the guidelines and submit them to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers within 30 days for approval and entry into force.
The Prime Minister has set a date for the visit of a high-level delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Government to Baghdad, for the purpose of expressing good faith and sincere desire to dialogue and find appropriate solutions to the outstanding problems between Erbil and Baghdad according to the Constitution.
The Prime Minister also made a number of important decisions regarding the duration of the ministers, senior officials and staff of the Kurdistan Region, combating administrative reducing the phenomenon of bribery or granting of bribes in government institutions.
Text of the first meeting of the Council of Ministers:
First: All ministers and high ranking officials must adhere to the official working hours of the ministries at the start of working hours, from Sunday to Thursday.
Second: All employees in the Kurdistan Regional Government must abide by the times specified for the official period. No one may leave his place of work during the official working hours or perform any other work outside the duty assigned to him.
Thirdly: Employees' commitment to confidentiality of work secrets. Confidential information may not be disclosed outside the frameworks provided by law in any form.
Fourth: Combating the administrative routine in government institutions and completing citizen transactions in a quick and accurate manner, responding to complaints from citizens, answering their questions clearly and quickly, and clarifying the reason for any delay or rejection of their transactions and showing respect for citizens in government institutions.
Fifth: There is a feeling of the phenomenon of charging and granting bribes in government institutions, combating this phenomenon will be one of the main duties of the minister and the senior officials in the government of the region. It is not permissible to overlook the offenders or to be lenient in punishing them.
