President of the Kurdistan Region Receives the Consul General of the People’s Republic of China

President of the Kurdistan Region Nechirvan Barzani received Consul General of People’s Republic of China in Erbil Ni Ruchi. Besides his congratulations to President Barzani on his new post, Mr Ruchi reiterated his country’s desire in strengthening relations with the Kurdistan Region and presented a brief on their activities in the region.

In the meeting which was held today, President Barzani reiterated on the relations between the Kurdistan Region and China and reaffirmed Kurdistan’s willingness for cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, industries, culture and education.

Discussing the political situation of the area, the process of rebuilding the devastated area in the fight against Da’esh and cooperation between private sectors of both sides were among discussed topics.
