President Barzani Congratulates Yezidis on the ‘Peak of Summer’ Festivity

President of the Kurdistan Region Nechirvan Barzani congratulated, in a message, Yezidis on the ‘Peak of Summer’ festivity, at the 40th day of summer.

Below is the text of the message:

I warmly congratulate the esteemed Prince of Yezidis, the religious leaders and all Yezidi community in Kurdistan and the rest of the world. I hope this festivity will bring back joy and blessing to all Yezidis and to everyone in Kurdistan.

As we are celebrating the ‘Peak of Summer’, we honor the victims of atrocities committed against Yezidis; may all their souls rest in peace. We hope, in the coming festivities and occasions, to see our Yezidi sisters and brothers returned to their rebuilt homes and all kidnapped ones freed.

Once again, we congratulate all Yazidis on this occasion.
