PM Barzani Speaks to Students on First Day of School Year

 Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani celebrated the first day of 2019-2020 school year in Duhok where he reminded the students and teachers of their significant role in developing Kurdistan.

“Needless to say, education is among the key factors for development in Kurdistan. Students should realize it on the first day of school that they are required to grow strong and serve their nation in the future,” PM Barzani said during a speech at a school in central Duhok.

He explained that his cabinet is committed to develop the education sector and build “modern schools” across the Kurdistan Region.

The Kurdish prime minister also thanked the students and teachers for helping the education process during the hard times of war against the Islamic State consequent financial hardship.

“The future of Kurdistan is in your hands. There will be a better Kurdistan if you build yourself stronger,” PM Barzani told the students.
