Barzani, Iraqi Parliament Speaker Meet in Erbil

Kurdish prominent leader and President of the ruling Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), Masoud Barzani, received on Thursday the Iraqi Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halbusi in Erbil.

During the meeting, the pair exchanged views on the latest political developments in Iraq and the region, including the relations between Erbil and Baghdad, Barzani's office said in a statement.

Barzani and Halbusi noted that the Kurdistan Region and Iraq should continue making efforts to address the remaining disputes between the sides in accordance with the Iraqi Constitution as there is progress in the ties between Erbil and Baghdad.
