Barzani Receives Iraqi President in Erbil

 Kurdish prominent leader and the president of ruling Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), Masoud Barzani, received on Wednesday the Iraqi President Barham Salih in Erbil.

During the meeting, attended by several Kurdish and Iraqi officials, Barzani and Salih primarily discussed the relations between Erbil and Baghdad, including their disputes over budget, contested areas, and legislation.

They agreed that both the regional and federal governments should continue the dialogue to find a common ground and address the disputes based on the Iraqi Constitution.

Salih arrived in Erbil a day earlier. He was received at the Erbil International Airport by Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani.

He met with Prime Minister Masrour Barzani earlier today.
