KRG Delegation to Visit Baghdad Today

A delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) is scheduled to travel to Baghdad today (October 8 to discuss the cescus ahead of the provincial elections.

According to the information BasNews has learned, the delegation includes officials from the Ministry of Planning and office of statistics for talks on the census with the Iraqi counterparts in Baghdad.

Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani had already, during a meeting with Iraqi Minister of Planning, warned against the attempts to politicize a long-overdue general census in Iraq.

"Census should not be used as a political mean against any specific component," Barzani said.
