Hundreds of people gathered on Saturday outside of the United Nations office in Erbil, the Kurdistan Region's capital city, to decry the recent Turkish incursion into Syria.
The demonstration was organized by representatives of the Kurdish political parties, urging them to condemn the Turkish offensive against the Kurdish forces in northeastern Syria.
They called on the UN, international community, and the European Union to pressure Turkey to halt its operations in Syria, which has so far killed 30 civilians, while wounding more than 50 others.
Meanwhile, similar gatherings were held in Sulaimaniya province on Saturday in solidarity with the Syrian Kurdish people.
