During the meeting, Barzani and Fayadh shed light on the recent demonstrations in the Iraqi capital Baghdad and other major cities against the corruption, unemployment, and poor public services.
The two officials reaffirmed their support to Iraqi PM Adil Abdul Mahdi's plans for reforms and meet the protesters's demands.
They also exchanged views on the relations between Erbil and Baghdad, both stressing on closer cooperations to resolve the remaining disputes between the sides.
Barzani with the Iraqi official additionally discussed the security affairs in the region, including the remnants of the Islamic State (IS) which has affected the security in the country.
